Travel stock photography Turkey

All in all, I have travelled around Turkey for about two months over a series of five trips. All of which took place between 1999 and 2012. Being able to see the country change and develop over these 13 years, has led to a varied portfolio of travel stock photographs of Turkey.

I love to rent a car when I’m travelling. Just like I did in India, Laos and other countries. It just gives you that little bit more of freedom, to explore towns you wouldn’t usually see, and to stop to take photos at any opportunity. That’s why I think that the best way to see Turkey is to rent a car. This way you can avoid the overly touristy urban areas and the slow public transport, and get to the heart (Cappadocia!) of the country and its lovely people.

All stock images of Turkey can be purchaged directly here. Just send a mail to wilmar@wilmarphotography.com. If you’re looking for travel stock photography this website is the place to be!

With plenty of first-hand experience travelling through the many cities and along the winding roads of Turkey, here are two places I’d recommend putting at the top of your to-do list:

  • Cappadocia. Famous for its fairytale-esque scenery, Cappadocia is known for sunrise hot air balloon rides and unbeatable day hikes.
  • Istanbul. Capital of Turkey, there is so much to see and do in Istanbul; from its plethora of mosques to its vibrant spice markets.

You can take a look at my travel photography on this website. But I do have other websites. I’m a pro photographer since 2008. This is where you can take a look at my photography portfolio! Or take a look at my corporate photography.
